Accountability

Corrections Policy

How we handle inaccuracies, provider submissions, claims, and pricing corrections.

Who May Submit a Correction

Anyone may submit a correction: provider representatives, consumers, pharmacies, healthcare professionals, and general visitors. Sign-in is encouraged but not required for a basic correction. Provider representatives with verified claims may track their submissions through the Provider Portal.

How Claims Are Verified

Provider representatives may claim an existing profile through the claim process. Verification methods include:

  • Company-domain email verification (preferred)
  • Official website contact confirmation
  • Known corporate contact
  • Signed authorization document
  • Manual administrator review (for personal-email claims)

A claim is never verified solely because the claimant created a GLP-1 Primer account. Personal-email claims enter a manual verification workflow. Verified representatives may submit proposed updates but cannot directly publish changes.

Provider-Supplied vs. Independently Verified Information

Provider-supplied information is treated as one source, not automatically as independently verified. Source types include:

Provider submittedProvider websitePublic pricing pageTerms and conditionsPharmacy sourceRegulatory sourceConsumer reportedGLP-1 Primer independently verified

Provider submissions may be published with a label such as "Information supplied by the provider and reviewed by GLP-1 Primer." Information is labeled "independently verified" only when the approved research standard was met.

How Evidence Is Evaluated

Each proposed correction is evaluated against current public source evidence, the submitter's relationship to the provider, the effective date, and any supporting documentation. Administrators review the current value, proposed value, source, evidence date, and downstream calculation impact before accepting or declining.

How Pricing Updates Are Handled

When a pricing correction is accepted, GLP-1 Primer creates a new PriceObservation rather than overwriting the historical record. Historical pricing remains available internally. Before publication, calculations are validated, the last-verified date is updated, and calculator and comparison impacts are checked.

How Historical Pricing Is Preserved

PriceObservation records are never overwritten. A new observation is created for each verified price change, preserving full pricing history over time.

How Disputed Information Is Reviewed

When information is disputed, GLP-1 Primer reviews the current value, proposed value, source evidence, and submitter relationship independently. Administrators may accept selected fields, request more information, decline, assign for independent research, or mark as duplicate. Providers cannot purchase favorable corrections, and providers cannot edit ratings or reviews.

Provider Influence Restrictions

  • Providers cannot purchase favorable corrections or factual changes.
  • Providers cannot edit, delete, or alter consumer reviews or ratings.
  • Providers cannot change transparency grades or research conclusions.
  • Providers cannot approve PriceObservations or alter competitors.
  • Providers cannot change search ranking or buy favorable placement.

How Material Corrections Are Disclosed

When credible evidence indicates a material public-data issue, administrators may temporarily display "Information under review." Published corrections are reflected in updated provider profiles with updated verification dates. Urgent reports (provider closure, medication discontinuation, fraud) are prioritized but do not automatically remove information.

Privacy

Submitter information (name, email, phone, authorization documents) is stored securely and is never published. Only business information that has been independently verified may become public. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
